I can not begin to describe how wonderful the CLAWS experience was for me and my students. I teach kindergarten and every one of my kids loved learning about the rare animals, and especially getting to see and touch them first hand. Not only was Kindra’s presentation thorough and “child-friendly”, but she gave them tons of information, answered all the questions, and even emailed me coloring sheets pertaining to the lesson. I run an animal club at Cary Academy’s middle school and I have used NC-CLAWS many times. My students and I thoroughly enjoy the well prepared presentations and opportunity to handle wildlife in a safe and organized manner. We learn and have fun and the kids always rate NC-CLAWS as a favorite activity when I ask for feedback on the different activities in which we partake. Kindra has a great repartee with children and her stories and facts are fascinating. NC-CLAWS will continue to be a big part of the animal club at Cary Academy.
